The Model 1040E: Caller ID Tester

The Model 1040E, our most advanced telephone central office simulator, provides all the features of the Model 1040C, from basic dial tone and ringing to serial port control, plus simulation of "caller identification" signals supplied by participating telephone companies. Caller ID lets you know the time and date of a call, and more importantly, who is calling you.

With the Model 1040E caller ID test functions, you will be able to develop and test your caller ID products using a reliable, repeatable signal. The caller ID test features include the ability to send custom phone numbers and bad checksums to see if the product under test responds properly.

In addition, you can demonstrate caller identification features at trade shows, in conference rooms, and in places where the service is not yet available.
